Empowering the Next Generation: Marcus Withers' Mission to Uplift and Inspire

Marcus Withers believes that true success is measured not just by personal achievement, but by how many others you help succeed along the way. This philosophy drives his commitment to mentoring young entrepreneurs and creating opportunities for the next generation.

"I didn't get where I am alone," Withers reflects. "My family, my mentors, the people who took chances on me—they all played a role. Now it's my turn to do the same for others."

Through various initiatives, Withers actively mentors aspiring entrepreneurs from his community. He hosts regular workshops at his dealerships, sharing insights on business fundamentals, customer service, and the mindset required for success.

"Too many young people from inner-city backgrounds don't see entrepreneurship as a possibility for themselves," he explains. "They need to see people who look like them, who come from where they come from, achieving success. Representation matters."

His mentorship extends beyond formal programs. Withers regularly hires from within the community, providing opportunities for individuals who might face barriers to employment elsewhere. Many of his most trusted employees started in entry-level positions and worked their way up through the organization.

The impact of this approach is evident in the success stories that have emerged from his businesses. Former mentees have gone on to start their own companies, manage departments, and create opportunities for others in turn.

"That's the real legacy," Withers says. "Not the businesses I've built, but the people I've helped along the way. When they succeed, when they pay it forward to the next generation, that's when I know I've done something meaningful."

His message to young entrepreneurs is simple but powerful: "Don't let your circumstances define your possibilities. Work hard, stay focused, and never stop learning. The opportunities are out there—you just have to be ready to seize them."
